Cheshire Branch Bhurtpore Show
What with a damp weather outlook in the south Cheshire countryside, Will Barber and the South Cheshire VJMC were expecting a considerable decrease in classic bike enthusiasts venturing out in the rain to their now well-established annual show.
The previous day saw us erecting the marquees, staking out and allotting pitches for our traders and our main sponsor, Single Tracker Motorcycles of Crewe.
With the gates open at 9.30am, a steady trickle of classic bikes initially saw one full line of display bikes, eventually expanding to four lines of truly well-turned-out classics for us to reminisce over.
To be expected, a few classics arrived via trailers and vans, but to be honest we were glad of any bike to help get the numbers up!
Typically on a dry sunny day, we usually see around 600-plus bikes attending the show, held at the back of the Bhurtpore Inn in Aston, just off the A530, but I think we topped out at around 150.
Traders were also down this year with just Single Tracker Motorcycles, Thunderfoot Products and Forden Vintage Show organisation attending
