I’ve just received my March copy of Old Bike Mart, and was delighted to see the Panther two-stroke photo on the front page.
For your information I thought I’d let you know that the Panther models with Earles forks and twin cylinder engines were the Model 35, which was powered by the Villiers 2T 250cc engine, and the Model 45, powered by the Villiers 3T 325cc engine… not a “350” as stated in the caption.
From the size of the tank I’d suggest the bike in the photo is a Model 45, because of the size of the tank. I’ve attached a picture of my recently restored Model 45, built in 1958.
May I thank you, and your team, for OBM, which I look forward to receiving every month.
