Spitfire Sam!

After taking off from the famous Second World War RAF fighter station at Biggin Hill, Sammy Miller MBE enjoyed two ‘laps’ of the Brands Hatch circuit from the cockpit of a Spitfire MK627, followed by an airborne loop to celebrate, on April 25.

Sitting at the top of the access steps to the Spitfire MK627 at Biggin Hill, Colin Seeley chats to Sammy Miller, who enjoyed the flight of a lifetime on April 25.

“It was the experience of a lifetime,” said Sam, “but I’m glad we weren’t up against a Messerschmitt! I’d like to thank John Parfitt, Peter and all the crew at Biggin Hill for making the day so fantastic.”

At Biggin Hill he was joined by Colin Seeley, who went up in the Spitfire earlier in the year when Sammy’s flight was postponed.
