Ravaged by time, but Bodmin BS4 still makes world record £331,900!

This ex-Henry Laird demonstrator 1938 982cc Brough Superior SS100 made £219,900 at the Bonhams’ auction.

The eight long-lost Broughs, of which the Austin Seven-engined machine was the star lot, sold collectively for £752,625.

Believed by many to have been destroyed, they finally came to light last year in the Cornish village where they’d been rotting away for the best part of half a century.
