Old Bike Mart cup for Tramway Village’s Classic Motorcycle Day

by

OBM editor Peter Kelly will be presenting a brand new trophy for the best classic motorcycle in original condition at the second Classic Motorcycle Day to be organised in conjunction with the Vincent HRD Owners’ Club at the National Tramway Museum at Crich, near Matlock, on Sunday, July 1.

Following the popularity of last year’s inaugural event, when more than 1500 visitors enjoyed a sun-kissed day with more than 300 classic motorcycles on display, the event looks set to become an eagerly anticipated annual affair on the classic bike calendar, with rows of gorgeous motorcycles to examine as the beautifully restored trams rumble along the recreated old-time town street.

This truly immaculate Norton Dominator was declared best British bike at the Crich event last year.

Set in the heart of Derbyshire, the National Tramway Museum is a charitable organisation enjoying the services of many volunteers whose motivation is to preserve the history of the tram by keeping these lovely vehicles alive for all to see and travel on.

The motorcycle event could never have been contemplated without the help and enthusiasm of the Vincent HRD Owners’ Club, whose services are very much appreciated.
