No ramps required! Motolug ingenuity makes motorcycle trailer-loading a doddle

by

Ingenious, versatile and affordable, Motolug collapsible motorcycle trailers are designed and manufactured at the Cotswold Business Village at Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire.

These twin brackets have been beautifully E-coated and powder coated.

Founded in 2007, the business offers a unique range of UK and internationally patented EC Whole Vehicle Type-Approved trailers whose key design criteria have resulted in products that can be easily and quickly assembled and dismantled without even the need for any tools, allowing the trailers to be stored away when not in use, and when disassembled can even fit into the boots of most cars!

Because of the trailers’ unique tilting hitch mechanism, allowing the trailer beam to be tilted to the ground, not even an additional ramp is required to load and unload the bikes.

The manufacturer doesn’t scrimp on quality, either. Sheet metal is laser-cut and folded to Motolug’s 3D design drawings by Seward Precision Laser at Preston, and the welding of these and the manufacture and assembly of other components, including the main trailer beams that are E-coated before the application of the black powder-coat finish (the rest of the trailers are zinc-plated) and the bespoke suspension units are undertaken in-house at Moreton in Marsh, to where Motolug moved in May.

From there the trailers, which carry a three-year warranty, are sent to all corners of the world, but mainly the UK and Europe.
