The National Motorcycle Museum have announced the results of their highly-anticipated Winter Raffle to win a brand new/old stock 1979 Triumph Bonneville T140D Special 750cc motorcycle.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions postponing April’s International Classic Bike Show at Stafford, the raffle was instead drawn by racing legend John Cooper and his wife Rosie at their home in Derbyshire on April 25, 2021.
John can be seen drawing the tickets next to one of his own machines, a 1960 Velocette 350cc Viper.
Winter Raffle full results:
First prize: Brand New/Old Stock 1979 Triumph Bonneville T140D Special 750cc Motorcycle.

NMM Summer Raffle
The National Motorcycle Museum now turns its attention to their “very special” Norton Summer Raffle.
James Hewing, Museum Director, said: “Thanks must go to Norton Motorcycles who have been extremely generous in donating a brand new Norton Commando as first prize for our Special Summer 2021 Norton Raffle. The Commando 961 Classic is a blend of Norton’s iconic styling combined with modern components, cutting-edge engineering and expert craftsmanship. You now have the chance to win one hand built Commando out of a limited series of 40, as well as two other exceptional Norton prizes in this amazing, one-of-a-kind competition.”
John Russell, Norton Motorcycles Interim CEO, said: “We are delighted to support the National Motorcycle Museum to help them raise the crucial funds needed to return to normal operations. Their heritage collection includes a very significant part of our history, from racing victory to wartime efforts, and it’s important for the direction of Norton’s future, too.”
What prizes are up for grabs?
First prize: Brand new 2021 Norton Commando Classic 961cc motorcycle. The motorcycle is one of a limited edition of just 40 machines, kindly donated by Norton Motorcycles.
Second prize: New/old stock 1993 Norton Commander Rotary 588cc motorcycle. The motorcycle has never been run or registered, showing 12 “push” miles only!
Third prize: Norton Motorcycles HQ tour. The VIP private tour & lunch is for four around the new Norton Motorcycles HQ in Solihull.
The prize draw for the summer raffle will take place on Saturday October 30, 2021 at The National Motorcycle Museum LIVE event.
