After being nominated as part of a 30-strong list by Practical Classics magazine readers and clients of Footman James insurance brokers, the Lakeland Motor Museum, complete with its motorcycle displays, was announced as Britain’s Best Classic Destination on May 22.
In the museum’s 40th anniversary year, director Les Micklethwaite said: “This is a fantastic accolade and a tribute to the hard work and dedication of a team who are committed to telling the story of a diverse heritage in an interactive and accessible way.”
