Being a subscriber l know you often have chaps writing in to see if anyone can find their old bike.
Well, in these days when you can’t get out on your bike l started to sort out some old pics l had and came across the enclosed.
It was taken at the Bottom of Barregarrow in the early Sixties.
You were allowed to watch the TT there then. It is obviously a very modified and handsome Scott.
It looks quite modern – it was the early Sixties – apart from the hand change gears.
Unfortunately the ferns make it difficult to read the reg., other than UU and possibly 90 something.
Instead of finding the bike, can we find the owner; is the bike still around? l would be only too pleased to email him – or her – a copy or even post the original colour pic if he would like.
l was on the Island on my 1957 Adler MB250, a really super little reliable bike; £85 from Elite Motorcycle in Ealing, W5.
It was my first bike in 1961 and would knock the socks off my pal Dave’s brand new Ariel Arrow at £167, from Pink’s of Harrow l think!
