There have been several recent issues of Old Bike Mart featuring DMW motorcycles. I enclose a picture of myself riding in the Old Codgers Trial held at Hungry Hill, Farnborough (Talmag-land) back in the early Nineties.
My DMW is a Mark 7P, built in 1956 and incorporating the Villiers 9E engine that was introduced the previous year. The bike is virtually standard, except for slightly larger and stronger front fork springs.
I needed to dispense with the bottom chrome suspension covers to fit them. I also rode the bike in other trials at the time. The rear tyre though was a 19-inch Dunlop trials universal and it suffered with poor grip in muddy sections.
The bike is registered for the road and now used occasionally to ride to classic gatherings.
