Hailwood Honda replica on track

It is fair to say racing is still close to his heart and his museum is packed with examples of race bikes from around the world. These are not just static exhibits gathering dust, but living, working machines taken out on the track at every opportunity by Sammy himself.

With Thunderspint now at Anglesey Race Circuit in Wales on April 21, there is an opportunity for Sammy to fetch out the fabulous Hailwood Honda RC181 replica and really get it wound up on an international quality race track.

Sammy said: “I really like the Thundersprint. It’s a fantastic mix of relaxed informality and complete professionalism – just like the best ever 1960s Grands Prix. As well as the Honda I’m taking a 1938 AJS V4 – a unique supercharged British motorcycle which was the first machine to win a Grand Prix at over 100mph.” For more information contact Frank Melling on 01928 740498 or email [email protected]
