The June edition did an excellent write-up on horizontal-engined motorcycles, which have always been a favourite of mine.
Form and function are brought together with a mechanical beauty, as well as the hidden bonus of shaft drive. To me, they’re the ideal sidecar machine.



The later model Zundapp, in my attached photos, displays an Art Deco design dating back to its early 1930s origins, the R69s BMW is a perfect long-distance hauler and the Valkyrie with its six carburetted cylinders is the ultimate in smoothness with a unique exhaust note.
