Five Vincent motorcycles – two Series C Comets, a Series C Rapide, a Series B HRD Rapide and a rare Series D Black Knight, will be among more than 200 machines being sold in H&H’s biggest National Motorcycle Museum auction to date on Thursday, July 26, a quarter of them being with no reserve.

This 1947 HRD Rapide Series B is expected to sell for £35,000-£40,000 at the July 26 sale.

Vincent made motorcycles from 1928 until 1955 after the business was established by Philip Vincent, who bought the existing manufacturing name HRD, initially renaming it as Vincent HRD.
