The festival last year was a huge success

The 2011 Festival of 1000 Bikes was a monster and huge interest is already being expressed in next year’s event. The VMCC is delighted to announce that the festival returns to Mallory Park on the weekend of July 6-8, 2012.

Support will come from Footman James Insurance Brokers, Bonhams auctioneers, Mortons Motorcycle Media, The National Motorcycle Museum and ERIKS UK.

Expect to see a collection of classic Suzukis, originally ridden by the likes of Sheene, Crosby, Mamola, Uncini, Luchinelli and Rossi. The bikes see action on the track in the hands of Phil Read, Mick Grant and Wil Hartog.

The 2012 event will be another weekend to remember. As in previous years it will give enthusiasts the opportunity to ride their own machines in multiple track sessions. However, as the track sessions for both road and race machines sold out early in 2011 the club has given riders the opportunity, to pre-register for entry forms (to be distributed in December 2011) by contacting VMCC HQ direct or via the dedicated event website at www.vmcc.net/1000bikes
