The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and Southern 100 Club have launched a new travel discount scheme in the hope of attracting more marshals to the ‘friendly races’ that take place on the 4.25-mile Billown circuit near Castletown from July 10-13.
Details of the scheme and booking forms have been sent out to everyone eligible, and online registration for those intending to marshal this year has opened at www.southern100.com .
The discount scheme, quite separate from the one for marshals who volunteer for the Isle of Man’s Mountain circuit during TT Fortnight and the Festival of Motorcycling, will be reviewed after this year’s Isle of Man Steam Packet International Southern 100 races in the hope that it can be repeated in the future.
