Brackley Festival is riding high

When the idea of a Brackley motorcycle meeting in the centre of the Northamptonshire town was first mooted in 2008, little did the organisers know that it would turn into one of the UK’s biggest biking events, raising thousands of pounds for charity each year, writes Ian Kerr.

Thanks to all the hard work, enthusiasm and support from an army of unpaid volunteers, the Brackley Festival of Motorcycling has become a ‘must visit’ early August event, with the High Street closed to traffic to become a display and parade arena, and the whole town centre and adjacent school sports fields becoming a showcase for every aspect of motorcycling.
