Another Norton celebration at Ardingly

by

More than 100 years of Norton will be celebrated at the South of England Classic Bike Show & Jumble on Sunday, March 25 at The South of England Showground, Ardingly, West Sussex RH17 6TL.

Nortons from all eras from veteran onwards will be featured, and Brooklands Museum will be taking some of its rare pre-war examples including the unique Soane/Jackson Manx and a genuine Pat Driscoll Brooklands racer from the mid-1920s.

One of the Nortons on display at Ardingly on March 25 will be this 1973 Gus Kuhn Seeley Norton Commando that was ridden by Dave Potter in 1973-4.

The ex-Dennis Jenkinson Manx that also has a Brooklands provenance will also be featured.

Backing it up will be an interesting talk by the Brooklands team, with a questions-and-answers session in the Stockmans Building.

There will be five halls of motorcycles and bike jumble stands, and hundreds of machines will be on display in a large show, including club stands, for pre-1980 motorcycles.
